Free Butterfly Colour and Cut Out Printable Sheet

I've created a free printable sheet of butterfly designs you can colour in and cut out, to create beautiful hanging decorations. The sheet is free to download, print and colour any way you wish.

You can then cut out your designs and use them in other crafting projects!

Project Inspiration -

Attach string or ribbon to your butterflies to turn them into paper hanging ornaments or bunting.
Decorate your cut out butterflies using paints, glitter, sequins or even jewels to make them sparkle!
Turn your larger butterflies into handmade gift tags or use your finished sheet as giftwrapping.
Decorate your handmade cards or use as them as scrap booking embellishments.
Use your designs to decorate the front of a sketchbook or notepad.
Turn your finished sheet in to a paper lantern (for use with battery powered tealights).

Artwork Featured on BBC Dragon's Den

I've been collaborating with the amazing company Bambino Crayons who recently appeared on the BBC television show Dragon's Den. It was a fantastic surprise to see some of my artwork appearing on the show. I previously designed a colouring sheet for Bambino which popped up during the episode. The Sheet itself will soon be available to download from the official Bambino website but I've added a little sneak peak below...

Bambino Crayons

I've just discovered a fab new brand of crayons by Bambino. When I'm creating colouring sheets I always love trying out new art materials I can use in photos and workshops. I've pretty much avoided crayons, particularly wax as I dislike the texture and mess, then I spied these new clay formula crayons and I just had to try them. I've used them to colour in an Afternoon Tea themed colouring sheet I designed last year.

Bambino are unlike crayons I've used before, I often colour in and draw with my 2 year old nephew. Even he has moved on from wax crayons as I think he found them frustrating to use. The wax kind certainly don't have a nice texture and depending on the brand they can often be faded and dull. I came across the Bambino crayons on Instagram and ordered a box out of curiosity, I'm so pleased I did! Firstly I love the tiny animal designs on the wrappers, they are so cute and kids will always notice and appreciate little details like those (I know my nephew will).

Straight away I could tell that the clay crayons are much smoother and more satisfying to use, you don't get those awful clumps that you can with wax. The colours pop brilliantly due to the high quality of pigment and they blend beautifully too. I'm going to buy a bigger box for my nephew for his birthday, I'm sure he's going to love them. (They are also easy to clean and erase which is a huge plus.) Although I'm sure these will be huge favourites with adults too because of their higher quality and large range of colours. Minimalist Illustration

I recently began to create illustrations in a Minimalist style (faceless) for the amazing company Porky Penguin.

This particular style relies on the absence of facial features to emphasize the figures general look and form. This works brilliantly with pop culture figures with a distinctive stance or outfit. So far I've created designs inspired by the series Bridgerton and Line of Duty. Check them out below...

Free Ramadan Colouring Sheets

Enjoy the Pause

This stunning home is focused on family, wellness and being socially and environmentally responsible. It's also in such a brilliant location, within walking distance of some of my favourite places in Chester such as Artichoke, Oddfellows Hall, Spoilt for Choice, Stile Napoletano, Marmalade and many more.

I've recently created a piece of artwork inspired by the beautiful retreat "Enjoy the Pause". The artwork depicts the layout of the home and all of the wonderful things it has to offer. Enjoy the Pause' opened its doors in 2019 and is located in Chester on a quiet cul-de-sac next to the walls and Roman Gardens.

This was such a fun project and a pleasure to work on, the house is so beautifully designed and perfectly tailored for a magical family getaway in our wonderful city. Please pop to their website below for more information.

Printing with Saal Digital

Recently I was lucky enough to be given the chance to have some of my artwork printed by the company Saal Digital. I chose their Professional Line XT Photo book and created it using their own design software. The finished product arrived today and I'm thrilled with it. The customised acrylic glass cover with leatherette looks fantastic and makes the colours pop so beautifully. I honestly don't believe the photos do it justice as the quality of the print is stunning. For artwork I'd definitely advise going for the high end print matte paper, each page is as thick as card and has just the right amount of sheen to it.

I chose a mixture of artwork, styles and colours in order to gain a good idea of how each image would look when printed. The software itself gives you a great amount of freedom in the layout of each page, it's also very easy to use. You have the option to upload your images and control every aspect of the layout or to let the software do it for you. I decided to create double page spreads for each piece of art work and this was really effective.

The book I chose would normally cost around £100 depending on the number of pages, cover choice and paper selection. I will definitely be using this website and software again for prints, I'm so pleased with the quality of the detail, particularly in the mixed media pieces.

Free Drawing Technique Worksheet
