Emma Lucy is a multidisciplinary artist living in Cheshire, working across educational publishing, product design, fine art and children’s book illustration. Emma works collaboratively with companies such as Hobbycraft, creating online content as well as teaching and designing creative workshops. She has provided whimsical illustrations for over ten children’s books to date, winning awards from both Readers Favourite and The Wishing Shelf.
Her vibrant colouring sheets include a design inspired by the city of Chester, featuring well known locations and historical landmarks. This sheet was created to bring people together through the 2020 pandemic, designed to celebrate the history of the city and show how vibrant and full of life Chester can be. Emma collaborated with students creating designs for the 14m state-of-the-art facility Ancora House in Chester, which went on to win the 'Project of the Year' at the DIMH Awards in 2017. Emma has also been commissioned by Chester Visual Arts designing an educational activity pack inspired the V&A exhibition in London titled Chance and Control. Client collaborations include the BBC, Hobbycraft, Porky Penguin, Chester Visual Arts, Chester Bid and Bambino Crayons. If you’d like to commission me to work on a project, please get in touch. |
